different faction, if your army contains only units from a single faction,
this unit gains 2 attack dice.
Notes from Drake the Lesser
- This ability is theoretically stackable, but it is not currently
possible to create a unit with two Xenophobic icons.

In the rulebook, the red dice rolled during close combat are attack dice
and the blue dice rolled during ranged combat are ranged dice. Since
this ability mentions attack dice, it only applies to
close combat.

Mercenaries are a separate faction, so an army with mercenary units present
does not qualify for the Xenophobic bonus. Official Ruling
- Xenophobic works with respect to the army's current composition, not
its starting composition. If you have mercenary units in your army
at the beginning of the game, you can use the Xenophobic bonus when
the mercenaries are killed.
