The basic unit of measurement in Arcane Legions is the step. A
step is the length of a sortie base, which is also the length of the
short side of a formation base. (The long side of the formation base is
two steps.)
A step is 8 centimeters (3.15 inches). This means that the length of a
formation base is 16 centimeters.
A ranged combat attack takes place at a distance of
6 steps, or 48 centimeters.
