A Regroup Order costs 1 order point regardless of base size. Regroup orders can be pushed.
The first function of a regroup order allows you to change the capabilities of a unit during the game by moving its figures to different positions. When a unit is given a regroup order any number of figures (some, all, or none) may be moved to any legal slot. Moving a figure is limited by three elements-- outline color, footpad size, and peg arrangement-- which must all match in order for a figure to change slots. A figure can't be put into a slot unless the following criteria match:
- Outline color: a figure can only be in a slot whose outline color matches the figure's starting slot.
- Footpad size: a figure can only be in a slot that matches its footpad size and shape.
- Peg arrangement: a figure can only be in a slot that matches its peg count and arrangement.
The second function of a regroup order allows you to change your unit's facing. A formation unit that is given a regroup order can change its facing 180°. A sortie unit can change its facing 90°, 180°, or 270° as part of a regroup order.
