The Problem

How many times have you carefully brewed an aromatic cup of tea, summoned a servant to play a melodic etude, and settled down for an evening of meditative bliss only to have it interrupted by a drooling blonde savage who smells like a decomposing yak!

There was a time when Han archers completely dominated the Mediterranean War, but Gaul Sorties have completely destroyed that. If you want the good old days to come back again, then the Han for the Utter Destruction Of Gaul Sorties is for you.

Profile of These Evil, Disgusting Barbarian Units

The most basic Gallic unit is the Hammer of Smetrios. If you push to move this unit twice, it has a range of 10 steps. It attacks with 8 dice, and thanks to Charger it usually doesn't have to pay any order points when it does so.

Slightly less powerful, but in some sense more dangerous, the Hammer of Bellona has only 7 attack dice, but thanks to the Hustle ability, when it pushes to move twice, it can strike from a distance of 12 steps, greater than the striking distance of the artillery units that are the backbone of any truly civilized army. It also has Charger.

The Hammer of Mars is more expensive than the other two units. It doesn't have Charger, but it attacks with 8 dice, just like the Hammer of Smetrios, while preserving the Hustle capability of the Hammer of Bellona. The truly awful thing about this unit, however, is that it gets 2 extra attack dice when fighting Irregular units. That includes dragons and Fireburst sorties. Let's face it: a bunch of barbarians clobbering a proud dragon or an aristocratic spirit is simply an affront to everything decent in the world.

Finally, we have the Hammer Incendia. This unit can move into range, throw a three-point Fireburst, push to base its target, and then attack with 7 dice. In other words, it can move twice and attack twice in one turn. That is simply not fair.

Our Solution

We here at HUDOGS are working day and night to stop this terrible problem. Among the projects currently in progress:

Unfortunately, all of these things require gold, and lots of it. That's where you come in. Simply bring all the coins and ingots you can carry to the nearest HUDOGS office and we'll be sure to put it to use in one of these critical projects.

The afternoon tea you save may be your own.
