Combat Modifiers change the values of the dice rolled during combat or the rules for interpreting them. For example, Intuition automatically adds 1 to a unit's lowest die roll, and Way of the Bow causes a tie to be treated as a hit by the attacker. This category also includes abilities like Good Fortune that allow (or require) dice to be re-rolled.

  1. Bad Luck: adjacent enemy units reroll best die in close combat
  2. Bully: +2 to close combat attack dice against defenseless units
  3. Crone's Curse: -1 to phantom dice on adjacent units
  4. Deadly: critical hit on two sixes
  5. Dragon's Curse: -2 to phantom dice on adjacent units
  6. Good Fortune: reroll lowest die when attacking
  7. Intuition: +1 to each infantry's lowest die
  8. Way of the Bow: during a ranged attack, ties hit the defender
