From the journal of Captain Chen Xioatang: "I don't know why I was compelled to attack my own men. It was as if I had no control over my own mind. Isn't it enough that the gods have changed our world forever with strange and frightening abominations? Men and women horribly transformed from that terrible night of mists, the dead rise up to plague the living, creatures from the spirit world unleash powerful magic and now a new power to threaten us! For a moment, I felt the presence of another take control and force me to issue orders that I would never utter of my own free will. When will this madness end?"
7000 points. 8 order points per turn. 4 order points for the ambush turn. 21 victory points to win.
Battlefield is set up as shown in the diagram. In addition, before placing armies, each player must place 2 standard terrain items.
| COMMANDER BONUS | If one army outnumbers the other in total commander figures on the field, the outnumbering army is awarder one extra order point per difference in commanders. The order point cost is per the standard rules. |
| Crystal | ![]() | Acts as control terrain for both players. Units can move through this terrain. Snapping is optional. Units on or adjacent to this terrain gain the powers of the crystal as described in the special rules. The crystal in the center (red border) acts as blocking terrain, preventing movement and blocking line-of-sight. Units must snap to this blocking terrain. |
