Command and Control

From the journal of Captain Chen Xiaotang: "Since the capture of the immortal General Zhongli Quan, the troops have been uncoordinated and chaotic. This is a frustrating time for me. I must rescue the general so that we may once again reign supreme on the battlefield and perhaps gain Himiko's favor so that perhaps I too may attain the rank of General. The approach will not be easy and the rescue near impossible. I am determined. I will succeed, I MUST succeed."

Special Rules for this Combat

CAPTURE If a player downs an opponent's commander figure as a result of a close combat order, he or she may elect to forfeit the victory point and capture the commander, thus depriving the opponent of 2 order points every turn the commander is held prisoner. Place the figure in the capturing player's Home terrain. If the player that lost the commander wishes to mount a rescue, the rescuing player must occupy the Home terrain where the captured commander is held. At the beginning of the rescuing player's turn, if the terrain is uncontested, the figure is rescued and the player regains the 2 order points lost when the commander was captured. If the commander's unit is still on the field, the figure is returned to its starting position on that unit.
